Ao iniciar um novo jogo no Metal Gear Solid 4: Sons of the Patriots, Snake cita um poema sobre a guerra que, ao meu ver, o que melhor representa a guerra que vivemos e a que iremos viver. enhance and regulate their actions.

Genetic control.. Information control..
Emotion control.. Battlefield control.

Everything is monitored, and kept under control.

The age of deterrence is now the age of control,
averting catastrophe from weapons of mass destruction.

And he who controls the battlefield, controls history.
